Unfortunately the ambassador of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. J.E. Habibie
could not be present, because his wife had deceased several days
before. Paatje was shocked by the phone-call of the Embassy. Of
course our sincere sympathy lies with H.E. Habibie and his
family.
Mr. Firdaus Dahlan of Information and Socio-Cultural affairs
represented the
Indonesian Embassy
accompanied
by Mr. Rosidi.
Also family Supriyono and family Bovelander
visited the party. We also very much appreciate the members of
the Dewan Sesepuh and the Dewan Guru, which were well
represented. Furthermore we thank the Balinese dancer, Ayu
Astina, who performed as a surprise with the intervention of
Guru Kessing.
The entrance was between six and seven p.m. After the opening
with a speech and the Lankah PAMUR, we had diner, conversations,
dancing and partying. Three bands were playing: Two sons of
Paatje played with each their own band (also as a surprise) and
Paatje himself played with his band Bintang Kecil. The last surprise was a jaipong demonstration of the
whole group PAMUR Kombinasi Tjimande. Thank you very much for a
wonderful evening!
